Ricavato da un cinquecentesco edificio adibito nel passato a convento di monache, l'Albergo Ristorante La Pergola sorge sulla riva del lago nel contesto molto caratteristico dell'antico borgo di Pescallo, pittoresca spiaggia del promontorio di Bellagio rivolta a sud est, in vista del ramo lecchese del lago di Como; Bellagio centro E' a soli 10 minuti di piacevole passeggiata tra gli ulivi e la vegetazione mediterranea che riveste la punta Spartivento; L'edificio ha mantenuto, anche grazie a recenti opere di valorizzazione, il primitivo assetto edilizio interno caratterizzato da una bella scalea centrale decorata da un affresco di maniera cinquecentesco, dal rigore nella simmetria delle camere disposte a chiostro, e dagli ambienti della foresteria e del ristorante,al piano terra, con la caratteristica architettura a volta bassa, cara all'edilizia dei borghi lacustri. La Pergola, Hotel and Restaurant, drawn from a sixteenth century-building, lies by the lake, in a most typical fishermen's hamlet called Pescallo, right on a shore of the promontory of Bellagio, turning south-east and facing the Lecco branch of Lake Como. The House was drawn from a building dating back to 1500, and assigned to a convent in the past centuries. The centre of Bellagio is but 10 minutes' walk, among the luxuriant olive trees and mediterranean vegetation spred out on the Spartivento Point. Thanks also to recent works and careful restyling, the building has recovered the original armonic structure from the old convent, characterized by a nice patrician staircase, also depicted with a mannered fresco of the sixteenth century, and by the order and simmetry of the rooms, reminding the ancient cloister; the guest-quarters and the Restaurant, both on the ground floor, still keep the typical low vault-ceilings often used in the architecture of the villages by the lake. While in the most idyllic and relaxing atmosphere of Pescallo, a contest of great value and intact nature, the holtel can offer all the opportunities for touring on Lake Como: the famous gardens and patrician villas spread out gorgeously on the hills of Bellagio; the old village with its elegant shops, artists' ateliers and lots of characteristic bistro and pubs.
